conversion fuel pump

I've got a 1303 super with a standard 1600 fuel injection engine. I've bought a normal aspirated engine and are in the process of fitting it in my bug. The problem is that i need to swap the original injection fuel pump for a "normal" electrical fuel pump as the injection fuel pump gives a way to high pressure! Does somebothy know how i connect the pump because the original fuel injection pump is wired over the injection computer and some relays in the back. Every help welcome!!!!

Stuart,

Can't you just fit a fuel pressure regulator before the carb(s) ?

Rob.

The "problem" is that i want do dismantel the fuel injection parts like the ECU and double relays etc. I don't know what the effect of this is for the working of the fuel pump.

Aha, ik snap het...

Can't you just wire the pump so that when you turn the key
it runs ?

Even with a different fuel pump you still need to sort out the wiring.

Keep us posted how you did it, I will be facing a similar problem soon

Rob.
