For supplies and general information you can try fiberglast.com and mertons.com, Aircraft Spruce (do a search) and Wicks Aircraft Supply at wicksaircraft.com. The local yellow pages can lead you to local suppliers.

There is also a series of four long tapes on fiberglass work both moldless (glass over carved foam) and molded and mold making. It is nicely produced and aimed mostly at fiberglass homebuilt aircraft and also includes tips on aerodynamic efficiency of the parts formed. The set of four is $109. including shipping from The Arnold Company, 1203 Wanda Street, Crockett, California 94525.

There is a book called "Composite Basics" for $30.00 available from Marshall Consulting, 720 Appaloosa Drive, Walnut Creek, California 94596.

Good luck and remember practice makes perfect.

Randy

I have a book called Fiberglass & Composite Materials (An Enthusiast's Guide to High Performance Non-Metallic Materials for Automotive Racing and Marine Use) by Forbes Aird which I would sell for $13 plus shipping.

I bought the book to learn and possibly pursue a hobby which would enhance my other hobby and maybe provide a service for others. I do not have the proper space to perform the latter.

It's a good book. I've quoted from it several times on different sites.

Hey Oasis,

Thanks for the offer, but I am in Canada and between shipping cost and the current exchange rate it would probably be cheaper for me to order it of Amazon.

Thanks for the tip though, I'll definately take a look at it.

Thanks,

Rob.
