starting out on the germanlook

Quick backstory- I purchased my 71 super way back before i had my license. i thought it would be the perfect car to have. over the years i have had tons of fun with it but right now it is sitting engineless (just sold), and i am a poor college student now with no money for restoration.

Now I must admit I love cal-look bugs and that kinda brings me to my dilemma. I have been trying to unload the car, with the thought that next year I could purchase a mid-sixties bug and make a cal-looker. But since my bug isn't selling and the GermanLook has been catching my eye I thought about slowly restoring my car to a german look.

what would your opinions be? try to sell my beetle and start fresh later on or keep it and make it a slow project?

here are some pictures: http://www.42green.com/71sb4sale/FrameSet.htm

thanks for reading this might not have made a lot of sense but jsut wanted to say hi and let everyone know what i'm up to

well I grew up loving the cal look also & I admit I still like some of the cars. BUT, it has been done to death, its time for some new blood in the VW scene.

There are other variations you could go besides German Look: French Look, Euro Look, & Kafer Cup Look are also options too.
