struts vs. a arms

was wondering which will perform better? or would they still be about equal?

The question isn't really clear, but if your talking about struts vs DOUBLE a arms, then the latter is better. It allows for controlled camber changes over the vertical travel of the wheel, while strut camber is usually static or mildly changing. Struts take up much less room though, and are more simple to build and have less wearing parts.

Many strut equopped cars also get alot of tire scrub when larger tires are fitted. This may be able to be tuned out to some extent but it leads to lack of steering feel and probably makes the cars even more likely to understeer. Struts dont take up much total space but the due take up lots of vertical space preventing a low hoodline unless your gonna do some cuttin.
