1st post so be gentle, been a reader on here for a while so thought i better sign up,some fantasic cars im building a 1302 cab into a gl and looking at wheel options, the cab is standard discs and drums not been lowered etc (at the moment) i want to keep the stock wings 1st choice are 7.5 x 17 et52 t twist from machine 7 and buy the discs and drums for the 130 fitment would spacers also be needed?and would these alloys fit on the standard wings or i notice that you can pick up cheap 16" boxter wheels on ebay ive seen a set of 6 x 16 fronts et50 and 7 x 16 rear et40 what would be required to fit these spacer wise or can they bolt on once the bolt pattern has been changed? forgot to add id get slim struts and springs - any ideas on the best ones to get? thanks Last edited by 02cab; February 26th 2006 at 07:05. |

generally 7- 7.5 et 50-55 will go under stock wings. with spacers of no more than 20mm depending on your setup, as for buying hubs why not buy some porsche swing arms, early steel ones just need the pivot bush changing and a handbrake conversion piece from vdub customs , keep the original spring plates connect up the brakelines , i just did this same conversion with 996 rear brakes , 2.5 hours from start to finish

The Boxster wheels look cool to me and would be an easy way to get into GL.
I have seen people run the 6s all the way around and not have to worry about spacers.
