Any GLs attending the N vs S shootout this weekend?

I would love to see some nice cars up there

I doubt I will. Too many things to do @ home.

I think most of VKG (and everyone else) will be at Bug-A-Palooza this weekend.

I will be going to Bug-A-Paluza 7.
I still don't get why SEVWA moved N vs S to the same weekend as BP7. I know they had to move the location. But why book the same weekend as one of the bigger/better shows in the southeast?

i was going to go to get my car shot, but frankly just don't feel like driving that far for what is bound to be a drag race only event. the SEVWA hasn't been getting much for show cars lately from what i hear. not a big deal as i like both, but with BP7 being the same weekend (which is always a great show, great location when its not raining, great swap meet and tons of cars), it has pulled me over the TN. i am trying to make other arrangements with the mag for later in the year.

That would really bum me out if I drove up to Rockingham and it was all drag racing. All I really care about is the show and swap. Hrmmm...TN is a long drive...do you guys think things will still be happening on Sunday?

Last year was a wash at the N vs S. It was rainy the swap was ok but the show was about 40 cars total and the Drag was called off. It was bad enough that people were leaving after just a few hours.

I opted not to go at the last minute. I almost drove to the bugapaluza instead. The wife wasn't for me being so spontaneous. I need to plan better next time. What is the next big show you guys will be attending? Anything before November in Tampa?

normally Circle Yer Wagons in Sevierville, TN, but i think many of us are bailing on the spring one. next one that comes to mind is Heart of Dixie in Atlanta in June. we get together for that and then have the VKG Grosses Wochenende event immediately following. there we drive up through the North Georgia Mountains with a stop at Helen (little commercial German town) and eat, drink and go go-carting. i'm also trying to arrange a shop tour of a local facility there. won't know until late in the game if that will happen though.
