Hood mounted tach..

Has anyone ever seen this done to a bug? I am wondering how it would fit into the germanlook. I have a guy who is really good at custom fabiraction and he has done them on old american muscle cars like this;

there was a guy on thesamba selling carbonfibre bonnets with a sort of scoop like that for the tacho about 2 months ago

Seems very functional to me. Therefore, it is quite GL IMO.

yep, that is pretty much exactly what i was thinking about. I am going to put some thought into this, as I do not want to get my dash all crowded up with tons of gauges.

make sure it's sealed against rainwater, that indent looks like it'd make a nice puddle after a shower

trevorbrady,

That is exactly what corssed my mind, and why I probably wouldnt go for something like that. Also, I wouldnt trust a RPM gauge to be out in the rain(even if I could seal it up). You just *know* that water is going to get into it somehow!
