universal engine cases (T1)

I pulled the motor outta my Super and noticed it is a universal replacement case for T1-3 as it has a blockoff plate to the right of the crank for (I'm guessing) pancake diptick. At any rate would it be agood idea to use this case as the basis for a mild hi-po motor ? are they dual relief or how can I tell ?

Yes, good case. Anything T1 new you buy is a universal case anyway.

if you look at the bottom of the engine you'll see a large "slotted plug" by the flywheel and near the crank pulley. If you got two of them then its a dual relief case. I think all universal cases are dual relief.
