Cam Gear Woes!!
Hello again!!
I was wondering if any VW aftermarket parts manufacturer makes adjustable cam gears, not straight cut, that are in the different sizes that came from the factory? Like sizes from -1, 0, +1 etc... And another question. Just incase they dont make them in different sizes, how much noise does adding straight cut gears add on? I would like a quiet engine but if its not too bad or sounds really cool, this could be another option!! Thanks Clint

Most aircooled VW parts manufacturers have adj. gears. They are adjusted by using different washers. Straight cuts sound awesome IMO. They're kinda loud. They wine like a geardrive on a V8. Plus they remove the loads off of the cam bearing.
