he didn't give me a number on the body but he said it'd be comparable to buying a good body and fixing the rust on it, so it should be a pretty viable option for anybody looking to go really fast or get crazy good fuel economy.

zen, i got confused there for a second because i wrote the article and i'm dave too!

and i agree 100% on the need for new pioneers in the vw community. it's been what, 40 years? we have hope though, with the jake rabys, suby swaps, a-arm suspensions, etc.

Awesome write-up...I'm a big fan here too. I've had 9 fenders so far, one died a brutal death several months ago in a T-bone accident, and that was only after having been backed-into once before by an SUV!

Always did wonder why the 2.5"F and 1.25"R worked so well together

BTW, he said he's kicking around some flared fender ideas so perhaps they're on the way. I'm much more excited about the full fiberglass body
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but, anyone have any updates on the flared fenders from CCC?

last time I talked to him there wasn't a big demand for him to speed up the development. If people would start contacting him then maybe...
