Scored some 914 engine parts!
Trolling Pelican parts, I scored a set of 2.0 cylinders and pistons AND a set of 1.8 cylinders and pistons for $100!!!
Anybody want a set of 1.8's? |

Cool, keep on trolling. I scored a set of 36 Dells wiff intakes and linkage for $180 (need a rebuild). I will use on my work car or the bus engine (untill I find all the stuff I need for CIS).

Sweet. I've been looking for some Dell 36's. But not real hard. The pistons are the U.S. spec flat tops, but that's cool with me, I'm not building a monster.
Do you know what my compression ratio will be with the flat tops and stock heads? 8-ish:1? With stock 2.0 cyl/pistons and 1.7/1.8 stock crank I should come out just over 2.0L right. I think it's 2056 or so. |

I was hoping that wasn't the case. So I'll have to go to a different crank. Maybe I'll have to rethink the whole deal.
I assume the 1.8's will work. Any major disadvantage to going with these? Besides the lower power. |
