defrost vs non
They probably would use the defrost lines to hide the edges of the strips.
Usually on a curved widow you have to cut the film into strips to do it properly but hiding where the strips meet is difficult Many shops prefer the defrost lines as it helps them hide the edges of the strips of film Most of the DIY spray on films are useless and almost impossible to apply evenly.
