Yeah, the engine is ready, but the dyno-guy still is not...

I'll keep you posted.

So...what kind of performance figures do you have for us?

Have you had it dyno'd to give torque and horsepower figures.

It hasn't been dynoed yet due to clutch failure: The clutch-combo I'm using is rated to 340Nm, but it starts slipping as soon as you floor it a couple of times...
The new dual-disc combo should be able to withstand 540Nm: as soon as it has been installed (together with the finished chargecooler), it will be finetuned on a dyno....
As soon as it has been dynoed, I'll post the results...

Thanks! I can't wait to see the results.

Who can tell me in ENGLISH what 340 Nm translates into?

If you devide the Nm number through 1.36 you have the answer in footpound:

In this case: 340/1.36= 250 lbft

About time for an update....

As it has been way too long since I posted some updates:

Engine is now a 2276cc, alu nikasil cilinders, SE modified heads 44x38, SS pistons, Custom Webcam, ultralight valvetrain, Custom coolingshroud, custom stainless header 321, Precision GT3076RLE ballbearing turbo, 44mm Tial wastegate etc.
Gearbox is a fully sequential Elite TXL250-6s with extended gears with billet 6061 alu bellhousing. The geabox is alot longer than the Porsche 901/911 gearbox, so I had to convert to coilovers en cut a gigantic hole in the body/tunnel to get the darn thing to fit....

Still waiting for some parts to put everything together, and hope to get her running soon....

Cheers,

Robin

Thanks Jason!
I really hoped to have it on the road waaaay sooner, but somehow these projects always take 5 times longer than you expect....
Especially the coolingshroud took way longer to develop: I think I made about 5 different prototypes before I was happy with it. Just hope it cools the heads and cylinders equally, as this was the main goal for this design.....
