blinkers

I've noticed on lots of newer cars the blinkers on the rear of the car over ride the brake light. I'm wondering if it could also be done with the headlights. So when you turn on your blinker one of your headlights flashes and the other stays solid. Good idea, bad idea?

how concerned are you that oncoming traffic knows which way you're turning?

It could be wired up fairly easily, but why?

it's just something I haven't seen before. Though it would be neat.

Sounds dodgy to me, like when police cars are always cut up big time when the blues and twos are on because a silly old fool thinks the flashing headlights are a invitation to turn.
Just my two pence
