Hey Rob,
Take your time and break her in.. I have a 02 Sedan (Midnite Black).. Once she is broken in.. Neck breaking acceleration.. Awesome fun.. Get different tires re92's not great at all..
Enjoy.

Loaf,

Yeah, I know the first 5K I just have to control myself....
BTW, I'm already looking for different rims and tires, I also had the RE92's om my RS and they sucked...

As to the STi...... all I can say is....drooooooool....
But I just cannot justify the 10 grand extra, and I'd probably kill myself with 300 HP anyway

Rob.

Yep, without changing this into a WRX forum..

I am also looking at some new rims.. ROTA's. Maybe a Turbo Back with up/down pipes and matching ECU.. New springs to lower a little.. Man the list becomes endless.. For my needs STI is nice.. but not needed.. A slightly modded WRX will fulfull 90% of my requirements.. I hear you about the 10 Grand...Did you see it at the auto show.. Showed the wife and see was like "WOW". SHe can drive a stick and is impressed with the WRX.. She can only imaging what an STI with 300/300 can do.. For now she doesn't want me to touch the scooby.. we got the extended warranty on it.. Bad experience with my 2000 Si that I had..
For now she is happy with me and supportive of my GL 78 vert that I am attempting..
Maybe next year some Rota's or Prodrive products for scooby..
Enjoy.. E braking and sliding in the winter with all four spinning can't be beat..But don't tell the Mrs...

Good choice! I really like Subaru's. Recently I heard one with a turbo or a cat-back (dont know which) and it sounded super-mean! Kinda like a refined version of how an ACVW sounds, which is logical, being boxer engines. Personally, I am debating a GTI VR6 or a Mini Cooper S as my future daily driver, but that's neither here nor there...

But remember one thing about a mildly-modded WRX... Eric Roberts and his Plumbug beat one in the G-force challenge just reminding you who's boss

Seriously, enjoy the car!

Hi

I like Subarus as well, they seem to be built a bit better than other Jap cars, but what I really like blowing them off at the lights.
