This is a running thread for announcements of updates to the VKG site.

1. Events page updated to note Dyno Day and the Winter Nationals as the spring VKG gathering.

2. News page updated to note the above decision.

-i updated many text links to be buttons now.

-updated the member's profile form to allow state code entry rather than the pulldown that told me nothing if someone didn't live in the southeast.

-updated the "add links" form to require email address to be submitted with it.

-added a link to "products and services" for Embroidery Bug".

Just a notification to you guys using volksport.net email that due to an increasing number of SPAM emails hitting the volksport.net mail server I have enabled SpamAssassin for the domain. This should help reduce the amount. Although we have not been getting an overwhelming amount (I get about 4-5 a day), I still find it annoying enough. Not sure how we got on someone’s radar, but we did.

There is the chance that enabling this, stops some wanted mail from getting in. If you find that you are not getting emails that you should be (from friends or whatnot), let me know and I will add them to the filters.

FINALLY updated the gruppe rules on the website. i hope to eventually put a points calculator up there.

I have done a total revamp of the VKG site . There is still some cosmetic work to be done and a little functionality tweaking, but it is mostly there. VKG members will receive an email shortly with instructions on how to register (or you can email me if you want them sooner). Only VKG members will be allowed to register and post content, pics and such. The site will of course be open to the public, they just can't post content.

There are a ton of feature available and were the driving reasons for me making the changes to the site. VKG members can now create and post to their own image galleries (you should have one for your car and one for your project build) and create and maintain Blogs on your project (basically your own project build site). Gruppe articles and newsletters will be posted as well as many other functions. The site will be a rich and content filled as you Gruppe members make it. So make it a site worth visiting for others.

Hope you enjoy it and look for more enhancements coming.

btw, i have noticed a bug with IE that each section header with a letter that hangs below the baseline (like "g") gets cut off. this doesn't happen in FireFox. will look into it.

well, here is a big site update!

due to some incompatability issues with an upgrade to the hosting server and the application used to run the VKG site, i lost everything. well, not really lost, i just can't get to it anymore.

due to the timing and my not really liking the software i was using, i have changed it up quite a bit. i am in the midst of recreating all of the needed information and a gallery will be coming soon.

ALL VKG members: go to the site and register for an account. the account will NOT be active immediately. i am requiring my approval of my accounts until i am comfortable with things. i will enable your account ASAP. you can go ahead and start a new blog and stuff. there is a chat function on the site as well. i will have an instruction set up there ASAP.
