is it just my memory fading or was it $23k on the Samba and it didn't sell, so now he is looking for $25k????

and gee, no one bitting at that price. at least with my bug, i faced facts early on that there was no way i was getting that kind of money out or it despite what i put into it.

He knows there are pics on TheSamba of the build, prolly just gonna rip those.

I'm guessing he is trolling for an unsuspecting overseas buyer. He may get lucky.

Had a message from Jim over the weekend but I wasnt around to get it.
Seems he was taking the bus up to a new owner in Wash and he said the entire rear suspension failed?!? They are in the middle of Wyoming and the bus will not move. Not sure what advice I was supposed to give since he didnt seem to know exactly what was broken? He did tell me in an earlier email that he had "re-inforced" the rear shock mounts to prevent flex. I never had a flex problem so I'm not sure what he changed or why. Now he has had a failure in that same area, odd. Sorry he has had bad luck with the transport, hope they got back on the road.

not that it matters but it sounds like "his busma may have ran over his karma" (i realize that was an awful attempt at humor).that may have lead to the failure.

Yeah, me too. It is a guilty feeling of satisfaction, isn't it?

There is something to be said for that whole karma thing. Its one of the few faiths I believe in.
I guess if you're gonna take credit for building/engineering something, you better know how to fix it if it breaks. Having said all that, I wish the new owner luck with the bus and will be watching to see if he posts around the VW community. Maybe I could find out what went wrong and offer some help.

If the karma rule holds true, then where did I go wrong?

I would tell him "you claimed to build it,,,, now fix it" I'm sure a big time car builder could fix it and get back on the road in no time.
