German made main crank bearings

Are genuine type 1 german made Mahle enigine bearings still avaiable? I am after std inner and 20 thou or .5mm OD if someone can help. Regards Brent

so you mean std on the crank and 0,5mm on the case sise? Please verify and I'll see what I can find

Yes that is correct, its brand new crank. KS would be great or genuine german mahle.

They are no longer made.If you´re lucky you may find someone who has some originals in stock.Glyco is a good alternative though.

Ok, can you please verify that they are actualy geniune "german" ones and not brazillian? They are going in a high rpm, arpm cased race engine. I need highest quality. Whats you thoughts on Glyco as an option? Regards Brent

O.K. I will check this out, the glycos appear also a very good choice, we run them on our drag car with no problems although there is a slight diffrenece in the tolarances between them and the others, if I'm not mistaking they gave in general more tolerance than the others which was more favorable for our application, but problem is you have to have all the bearings available to decide which one to use, we had mahle, ks and glyco and the glyco was the one with the biggest tolerance so we decided to go with this but probably this is a unique case, maybe this is not a rule for the glycos I couldn' tell

Yes,the Glycos are steel backed.Dimtirios is right about the tolerances,however, cases also have tolerances,especially if the case is a used case.

I asked my guy and the package is seen as made in Germany, so I suppose are the right ones, cheers

I will never use anything else other than double thrust cam bearings.Jake Raby sells them and they are made of steel.Excellent quality.You can order them with DLC coating also.
