That's a really nice/quick transformation! I look forward to seeing it with the suspension settled at the final ride height...

Besides looking good, keeping the "VW 1200" badge on the rear lid makes it a sleeper as well.

Wow, looks great and great job on getting it done so quickly. I wish I could do the same.

I hope to see some videos of it tearing up the track soon.

Thanks everybody for the nice reactions!

We still have a lot of big and small things to do, but the project is almost ending.

Okidoki, i will refresh your memory a bit with some old pictures.....

This is our economy beetle. The beetle is built in Emden , Germany. The car was first bought in the Netherlands in 1976.
I bought te car in 2006 in Purmerend. ( Holland)

At the race track to see some friends. The green 1303 beetle belonged to my dad. Unfortunally he sold the car a few months ago....

This is our bug in Belguim. My boyfriend dropped the front end with lowered spindles, and adjusted the rear suspension height.

In may 2008 a Peugeot ran into my bug:

The International Kever Weekend in Budel was coming soon, so we had to fix the bug in a few weeks!

OLD and NEW

Both won a cup!

This picture was taken for a dutch magazine named "Viva'.

As soon as the season ended, the white german project started. Almost straight from the last meeting, we her right into our garage, to fix her looks for 2009!

Your upgrades are very nice. The Cup wheels are a good contrast to the white paint. The cooling holes under the plate on the decklid are a nice touch.
Oh, and how's your dog doing?

Very nice!!! Of course I'm partial to the Cup IIs myself, but I think they look really swank again the white.
