Ignition lock cylender?

Does anyone know how to remove the ignition lock cylender out of a 1971 standard? Ive been trying for a while and its really kicking my butt..

this is for 1958 to 1971 models..

first off you must remove the lock cylinder retaining plate(to get to the plate the turn signal switch has to come out.

second insert key and turn it slightly, pull out the lock cylinder untill the retaining spring is visible in the opening(on top of the ingition asssembly.

third press the retaining ring through the opening with a stiff piece of wire or small flat tip srewdriver, while pulling on the key to remove ignition switch..
