Tire side wall q's

Hello,

Have currently a set of NOS KPZ 5.5 ET 27 wheels.

Made me a mock-up of the front bottom bag support for my T3.

Made me 5 mock-ups in aluminium and achieved a max of 1.5 cm (+/- 1/2 inch) space between the bag at max inflation and the edge of the rim at full lock.

I am wondering if 165 tires will stretch enough so that I don't have an extruding side wall ?

Opinions please !

yeah 165's will be OK... thats a better size than the 135's that the callook boys stretch over their 5.5's!!

Bert,

I was having the same problem with my front setup! I was planning on running 145s later to get more clearance.

Can you show me what you've done for your front setup?

Very soon

Hello,

Philippe, I will post photos soon and update my website.

The bottom bracket is bolt-on. NO mods required !
Thursday I can collect them at the lasercutcompany. They will be completely finished then (made me 5 mock-ups !).

Wednesday I will finish the beam bars.

This weekend I am drawing the top bracket which will be totally bolt-on too.

I designed the brackets for regular 165 tires. Drive height will be lower than stock. Everything will clear a 5.5 inch wide wheel.

Very close gaps though !

Still waiting for the bags and shocks. I guess they will arrive soon.

Keep you updated (lended out my digital cam).

Regards,

Hello,

Philippe: Here is a sneak previeuw of the bottom bracket. Still have to weld up the fold lines.

Top bracket is almost drawn but am still waiting for some parts.

The beam bars need a little bit of finishing. The torsion bars are very though to mill.

Website will be updated soon. Layout will be better too.
