ball joint

are there any ways around using the kercher ball joint on my 1303 when going to 944 brakes? my budget is a little tight. my other question is it ok if i go with the 944 rears and giah up front. i bet it will be pretty unproportional but idk

It's OK to use Ghia disk upfront and 944 rears. The brake pedal might be a little low for you but you can change to a MK1 MC(rabbit) 76 to 83. The mK1 MC has a slightly large bore. I dont have the correct measurements, Ill look for them.
Lanner at www.vdubengineering.com agreed with this.
PS.
He is "the man" when it comes to 944 conversions. Buy some of his stuff!!!!

stock bug m/c is 19.05mm, there are a variety of watercooled VW ones that are bigger and will bolt in, a friend used a Mk3 golf which was 20.64mm with his 944 rear bug disc front
