Mallory Ignition

I am not happy with the 009 distributer and as most of you have stated you are in the same boat as me... Is this the Mallory that you would use in a stock type 1 1600?

Replaces Unilite #605
This kit is designed for the newer style distributors that are equipped with the YT series advance mechanism. An alpha character following the seven digit numeric part number designates the YT series. This kit will not fit distributors equipped with the YL series advance mechanisms.

I bought a Mallory vacume dist. for my type 4 engine project and put in my stock type 1 engine in my daily driver to replace the old school 019. A world of difference, more power, better mileage. You won't be disapointed.

Is this the correct unit for my engine? I will be running ICT's, so no vacuum advance...

They make a dist. without vacume advance, it will save you some $$ too. Check Aircooled.net
