914 2.0,1.8,1.7 Con Rod compatability?

I just picke up a 2.0 case at the boneyard without heads and pistons and connecting rods. Can I replace the rods from a 1.8 or 1.7 motor Are all models the same in this respect.
thanks

I believe the 1.7 & 1.8 are the same because they use the same crank, but the 2.0 has different rods & they are usually more expensive if you can find them.

the 2.0 had a different big-end size (=50mm as both 1.7/1.8 use a 55mm big-end) and with 131mm it is longer than the 1.7/1.8 con-rods (127mm)

The 1.8/1.8 crank, must stay with the matching rods.

The 2.0 was all by its self with both the crank and the rods
