I've got a question, since I haven't installed the exhaust yet. The joint that is just tack welded on the header, on the 1-2 side, what do you do with it? Leave it tacked, weld it up, clamp it?

Thanks

I dont have this system yet.. i will be running it when I convert to type 4 early next year.....

I have spoken with Jake about this system, he says it is second only to the Tangerine system.

He is going to be starting the Type 4 exhaust system shootout soon, so we will soon see the results & how it compares to other systems.

vujade,
Are there any companies that import the Bas system or will I have to have it shipped from Germany, cause I'm looking into that system for my Type IV 2.0L also?

Nick

Ordering from Germany isn't that bad a deal. You convert to USD and take off 17%, we don't have to pay the VAT. With shipping, I got mine in about 3 weeks. I bought the steel version of the header and the muffler system for about $525.

Thumbs up BAS is really great to deal with...

BAS was great to deal with. I ordered by fax a Cup exhaust. They faxed some questions, got a credit card and shipped it out. In a couple weeks I had to pay the post office an additional $35.00 for customs duty and drove it to the shop. It was expertly packed and as nice as I could ever ask for. Now if I could only get the car ready...

I highly recommend BAS. I was as thrilled by BAS as I was pissed off by MBT and that is saying alot.

Thanks,
Randy

Congratulations on selling it man, but just a quick question? Why did you sell it in the first place? I am looking into having RAT build me an engine and I guess I'd like to hear why you off loaded it, thanks.
