Hi. Building a drag car, what kind of brakes?

Hi there.

I'm building a drag german look 70 bug, and i'm planning on draggin it and showing it. Problem being, that I want to do both. SO I'm gonna have to pick a brake size that will fit for both show rims, and drag rims.

Not sure what size that drag rims will be, havent given that much thought, but i've heard of people using 15 or 16 inchers doing the trick, well if it is 15 inches, how big of a brake setup can I install? ALso, is it worth it to get rear disc brakes?

drag/show brakes

Hmm. Can't really have the best of both worlds in this case. If I were building a car for show and drag only. no street or rally, I'd do away with the front brakes completely and use a disc on the rear. There are a number of companies making disc conversions for all years of beetle now. Good luck.
