Anyone have a source for Scooby engines :(

Blew my motor this past week at Watkins Glenn, trying to chase some BMW's.

Not sure what the cause was, but now I am desperately looking for a 2.0 Turbo Long Block.

If anyone has any leads or recommendations for me, very much appreciated.

I am located in NNJ, but willing to have it shipped or will pick up if relatively close
Thanks
Alex

Have search the usual subaru sites but haven't faired to well..

I didn't think that $ 750 plus shipping was too much money. Do you?

Familiar with Crawford, cobb, gruppe-s but those are mostly sti, built up sti or legacy 2.2T blocks..

I just need the low end 2.0 lt wrx turbo motor.. that will obdII compliant.

Thanks

Ebay? Haha, watch out you don't get scamed like I did. Long story, but basicly... I won an auction and NEVER recieved my engine. I ended up making a claim with Paypal to get my money back. I should also mention. The guy that tried to scam me, already scamed 3 or 4 other people. For a LOT more money. We're talking close to $10,000.

I then bought it from Nippon-motors. And I saved money over ebay. Only a few dollars, but a dollar is a dollar. I was Very pleased with the way my engine looked when I recieved it. Very well packaged. I'd recommend Nippon-Motors to anyone. If you're looking for a Subaru JDM or any engine.

Just my 2 cent.

Thanks guys..

I was working with some folks in Canada.. but they took to long to get back to me.. plus they had mostly JDM stuff..

Did get a 04 WRX motor with 12K miles from IApeformance.. or something like that.. one of the vendors on Nabisco Good fellows.

Right now the engine is heading my way, hopefully the shop will have it mid week and can budget time for the swap.. I have a new P&P TD-04 with ceramic coated hot side that my scooby will be getting..

Once it is in I need to take it back to my tuner (Rallispec) and make sure my incident was not the result of ECU/Tuning..

Well thanks again for the help.. Hopefully my broken motor is somewhat salvagable Hmm Wrx heads, STI shortblock..VF22 this could get me in trouble.. If heads are good, this could be a good set up for my GL..

Take care..
Alex
