sohc 4.6L ford into a 71 super
I was wondering if anyone has seen this done? i have access to many 4.6L engines at discount prices since i work at a Ford dealership so i thought if it could be done i would seriously think about it. I wanted to keep it mid engine i really didn't want to shove it in the front like most do. i think mid engine would be really interesting if possible.

Everything is possible, how much time and money do you have?

well i am not in any real hurry so i have been buying things here and there little bits at a time to get ready for everything to go together. i already bought the wider fenders from creative car craft as wide as possible for the rear and the front. i have got maxx struts on the front. i am unsure about the brakes though. i know i want disc brakes slotted or cross drilled but i just don't know what company to go with. i have got the rear trailing arms from a 944T car. for the rear but i could also go with the stock i just know that i could run a little bit wider tire/wheel combo for the rear with the 944T parts. i just wish i could find out more info on a 4.6L swap. If i could fit a 32 valve 4.6L that would be even better. but i think a 24 valve would be sufficient. but also i could just spend the money for a subaru sway and the engine would weigh less and i could get about the same horsepower. What do you think?

Unless you just want to go in a straight line I would be very conscious of weight. IMO if a V8 was used in a bug it would be connected to an Audi tranny and be sitting mid engine like this:

i think i will just stick with the subaru swap. i would have more room and less weight. so far the best places i have found is outfront motorsports. they seem to have their info all laid out for you.
