Engine sourcing

Hi Everyone,
I would like to start a thread to compile the most common companies for buying subaru engines. The companies I know of include:

www.flashoptions.com

www.jdmaddiction.com

www.finelineimports.net

www.venus-auto.com

www.fnfmotors.ca

www.tokyomotorimports.com

www.jdm.net

That's all that I have. If anyone knows of any others, or has any experience with any of these companies, please share your experience.

www.nippon-motors.com That's where I bought my JDM Subaru. Nice place, I heard good things about them before I bought my engine. I havn't had a problem. However, I haven't had it running yet, I doubt there will be a problem.

Hey guys, first post for me.

Bear in mind that you can also buy EJ251 and EJ205 engines, among others, used for quite a lot less than new pricing from the Subaru forums.

www.nasioc.com
www.i-club.com
www.RS25.com

Among others. You can also buy blocks from dealership sites like:

www.subaruwrxparts.com (in NH)

Plus some of the shops:

www.rallispec.com (NJ)
www.garagetuning.com (CA)
www.area1320.com (PA)
www.eastcoastswappers.com (MA)
www.vtcar.com (VT)
www.irishmikesracing.com (FL)

^^ They usually have older engines lying around, after people upgrade. That sort of thing.

Anyway, thought I'd share.

I have a 2006 Subaru EJ25 SOHC non-turbo that I need the wiring between the engine and the ECU. The engine has it's main wiring out to the square junction on the engine. I just need between that and the ECU. Can you guys help? Any leads? Thanks!

As far as I know the best place would be to do a search on www.nasioc.com forum. I've been a member there for a little while and it is essentially a huge library of knowledge about subarus

Also check RS25.com. That board caters more to the N/A crowd.

Nasioc is good, but watch out for the characters there. When I had my subaru, it was quite entertaining to follow the threads that get started over there..

No kidding, but if you're good at searching and ask the right questions you can usually find the info you need. Just have to be patient. There are many people on the forum that think they own it and be a jerk just to satisfy their own vain online-only ego. As was mentioned, it's pretty funny to watch.
