Anyone running late 944 single pot fronts?
Hopefully a simple question.
Most people are using the early 944 single pots with the back mounted rotor on the hub. No problem. I have a later '87 944S front setup that uses the same early caliper but with "hat" style front mounted rotors. This elliminates the need to remove the hub when changing rotors, good. The rotor offset to the caliper mount seems to be the same, but just want to verify this before commiting to this setup over the traditional early setup. FWIW I have two sets, but like the front load rotor much better than the rear trapped setup. Thanks,

From what I know by cross referencing part numbers all the non turbo single pot calipers are the same... I have 87 944-S front and rear brakes on my bug.

I am running 87 944 single piston calipers ont he front of my 65 with linkpin to bj drop spindles that have a caliper adapter made from lanner at vdub customs. The 87 hub was modifyed to use the bj bearing as well , the whole outfit looks very good... just waiting on a grease seal to install it all....
