Projector headlights

Hi guys, ive got the in.pro headlights with hid lamps but i dont like the beam pattern. Here are a couple of pics.

But the other day i found on ebay a pair of headlights with projectors.
The seller says that fits in 911s, beetles and others. Here is the linkhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/60-86-Porsche-...#ht_2578wt_905
So what do you think? and will it be plug n play in to my 1303?
p.s. do you know any other way that i can use projectors?
Thanks in advance

The 7" headlamp fits an '03 but you may have to create new mounts that is an easy job. I did that for mine with Autopal Crystals. The UK ones are likely to be left hand dip and may not be appropriate for Greece (OK for Cyprus though).
The beam problem you may be experiencing with the HIDs is that the bulbs don't have the filaments in the same place as the H4s and with a complex reflector the pattern is all screwed up. Try the lamps with standard H4s that are now available in +80%.
BTW HIDs in a 1303 will require a levelling system to adjust the beam on dip to comply with European law and also require the specific original (HID) reflector for the reason I have explained above. All that is to protect on-coming drivers from being dazzled. Please be a considerate driver and get the correct lighting kit.

My plan has been to use a OEM euro bi-zenon projector, but I've not researched far enough to figure out which will have the shortest body to fit in a bug headlight bucket. Any thoughts?

Jason, how does the Porsche one fit? part of the problem that we all have now is that 7" headlamps are old hat and the new technologies have allowed the styling bods at the manufacturers too much freedom. Have you checked out the major lamp suppliers like Hella etc?

It would have to be a newer Porsche, and I suspect the depth is really deep on them, so I'm looking at more of a late 90s-00s Audi, Merc, or BMW lamp then adapt it to the Bug bucket. Even Mini ones are terribly deep for what we need!

It looks as though these Retrofit ones are not 'E' marked and are thus illegal for use in EU. Hella make some very similar one that are 'E' marked but you still have to overcome the requirements of the levelling mechanism to keep legal.

There is no import duty or VAT payable on goods sourced within the EU but on goods imported from outside the EU it is entirely down to luck especially on small goods whether Customs and Excise charge.

Matt at The Retrofit Source is good guy to do business with. I've bought all my stuff from him.

My retrofit:

volksdent/Jason, get in contact with Matt at TheRetrofitSource, as he can help you source a small pair of projectors.
