Thank you !
Yes, it is not an extreme, just a daily driver with a feel of Germen Look.

Engine is Type 1, 1775 ccm, 2 x 40 carbs, ported heads, etc. Not a racing car, but for normal small road very agile car. Now I am making interier, and during winter I would like to buy some basis for 2,1 or 2,2 engine from US. Maybe here will be somebody who will be able to help me with some transport.

Being not extreme is what I like it so much. It is very easy to over do and end with a limited use car. I bite the bullet and ended with a car so impractical for the street that only is used to club gatherings. I am planning on building something similar as yours!

Why don't you consider a type iv? Nothing fancy a "small" 2.4 lump maybe

Maybe the future. First was to try the setup, chassis, etc. It is not too easy to build this when you are not in US, or not earning like German So the engine is the future. And with the engine, there will be interier out, roll cage in etc. To see once Spa meeting

Type iv's are not that popular in US. At the moment there a couple of bargains in the market for a good engine. Check also other VW forums and you will understand.
