A question I have had relates to the M10 hole VW used...
They mass produced cars and produced things as slack as required to assemble on a production line with minimum labour overhead. If they had time to fine-finish and file-fit they would have used the M8 hole, as per myself as it is of a higher quality. This is what we do in Aerospace and high-end cars such as Aston-Martins and Rolls-Royces. I have assumed that people restoring / renovating old VWs aspire to the same 'hand-finished' quality. See http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=4575400545 for my chassis bolt and washer kit, as per the above query. |
