Fiberglass Sub-Box

I spent yesterday finishing off this thing. It was a ton of work but I'm really happy with the results. The box lines the weird cavity in the trunk perfectly. The box is actually larger than it looks as it also protrudes toward the rear under the battery cover.

Nice install. Looks great.

That for the 335? 'cause it doesn't look like the E36.

My friend has a E36 M3. His second within 10yrs. Fun car. Last summer he got his hands on a 135i all spec'd out with OEM BMW mods. Surprised at how quick it is. That 1-series, SPANKS his E36 M. He's thinking of selling the E36 for the soon to be released 1M.

I'm a fan of the Bimmer's.

It's our E39 M5, 40k miles/$25k was too good a ratio to pass up, it's like a new car still for less than a Honda Accord! We have an E36 M3 too that is road legal but mostly it's setup for our track car. 135s are wicked quick, but they are also a lot of money. If you are just looking for speed then a 335 is still a better option IMO, but for the $/fun ratio the E36 M3 is still king. If you talk to 10 BMW shops that have race connections, the E36 will still be the top choice even though the E46s are coming down in price. For even more fun you can swap the 333hp E46 engine into the E36 chassis and hang on!

Your right.

The older M's are great "bang for your buck" cars. Lots of car for your money.

Congrats on the great buy of the M5.

Thanks Pete, 170 in a $25k car feels pretty good I must say! I'm sold on used cars these days, new cars look good but make me sick to my stomach...
