Running boards
I was just looking through old Kafer Cup pictures on Google images and noticed most of the cars have running boards that are body color and APPEAR to slant more severely towards the ground. Is the slanting just an optical illusion? I'm not sure I would buy a set of these even if I could find a source, but if I'm NOT just seeing things, does anyone know of a source for these running boards?

Maybe you could post one of those images?
They might be just GRP or glass fiber original replacements as I don't think most had elaborate aero (besides some roof spoilers and front air dams) as you're suggesting (if I read your post correctly) |

Hi
I found these GRP running boards on a local forum, Ive never seen anything like them before. They are lower towards the front of the car and have a sweep back near the edge. Steve

Love those! That's kinda what I was talking about. I thought, maybe, the running boards on the Kafer Cup car were mats removed then body color, but that's more the shape I meant.

Here's mine, lots of time and work to make, they tie into the pan along its length, and into the rear diffuser, flat floor area is thereby increased considerably, airflow underside is cleaned right up, increasing its speed and so lowering its pressure, I got caught out on slicks recently in heavy rain, apart from wheel spin etc with Aqua plaining, corner speed and grip was way beyond previous levels, so far so good, mk two version in the mould...s254.photobucket.com/user/spannermanager/media/image.jpg8.jpg.html][/URL]

Hmmm...the whole underside of Spannerman's car is suddenly of high interest. There is some seriously awesome stuff going on there!
