customizing 944 struts

Hi, I have a 1302 that I'm upgrading to a 944 disc brake setup. Since I will need to use a 1303 strut tower or a Maxi setup I am limited with only three inches lowering with a none Maxi coil over. My attemp is to use shorter in length shock inserts and lath off the lower spring rest and repostion it three inch lower. In doing and cutting off the three inches from the top, I hope to (1) gain the camber on the strut and also the camber on the lower control arm. I will use the Rocky Moutain Sport spring, but I need a shock insert that is three inches shorter than the normal height of a shock insert for the 944. Do anyone know there I can buy shock inserts of different lengths?
