Searched before post - 17" X 9" on short/short swing axle

...already read the post about 17/18" on early cars....

Do you think this would work well and look right?

Car - 1966 Beetle
Front Narrowed 2" Beam -2" wider than stock CCC fenders - CB Drop spindles/disk
Rear - Short/Short swing axle - 1.25" wider than stock CCC fenders - CB RotoHubs/disk

Wheels off a a 993
Front 7JX17 et55
Rear 9JX17 et55

Thoughts?

What brakes? I put '68 axles (long, long) on my 64 with 944t brakes and it pushed it out about 2 inches. Perfect for my 17x9 47et twists. No spacers needed.

The front you shouldn't need wider fenders. With proper spacer anyways.

Those brake dont widen your track in the rear either, so you'll need some pretty big spacers to get the rears to work. like 30mm.... or go with like et23mm offset wheels to push them out.
