Allen's 914 V8 - Just went for a spin

Allen just convinced me that too much power is just enough

His 914 has so much torque that passing in 5th gear on the highway is a joke ... it accelerates like a cannonball .... it just wants to keep going.

I was looking for something to hold on to but the interior is pretty sparce

We just went for a quick burn around the backroads in my subdivision and that car kicks A$$. :agree:

Looks like I'll be putting a price together for my T4 with all the goodies and be selling it. I'm back to the Subaru EJ20T now. :righton:

Rob .... I'll be contacting you soon for some information and Lanner, I'll be contacting you as well.

Sandeep

Allen's got it on the road already? That's awesome :agree:

I don't know about the Subie conversion Sandeep, i'd finish the T4 turbo, your almost done.

How much juice could you get out of the Subaru EJ20T?

later,
Pete

Wow, gotta get a look at Allan's car, that sounds impressive !

BTW, Sandeep I'm in town this week, so let me know if you want to meet up.
Maybe we can do a mini meet at my place, see if Allan can bring the monster out as well ?

Rob.

Greetings Everyone !

Just needed to put some "easy miles" on the engine to break-in since the
i did my own engine rebuild last winter. Thanks for teh kind comments
Sandeep, and hopefully after I return from my trip to Manila, the end of
the month; I will get to correct some minor items ande then sort out the
little monster to run better. It is really only a "driver" at this time, since I
wanted to get to at leaset drive it a little before the cold weather comes
and the insurance ends mid November.

Once it is sorted out and working the "boys" are all welcome to check it
out or take for a test drive. Must go got some shopping to do in Manila.
(BTW there are lots of VW beetles here, but no GermanLook have been
yet sighted)

Allan
