Wow! I searched forever to find a picture of a beetle with rs's! The tire sizes that I am running are 205/45r16 and 205/50/r16. Here is another pic for kicks.

What is the smallest BBS RS come in?

Want to fit a set to my 67 1300 - thinking 6" wide in front and 6 or 7" in the rear. Want a decent turning circle and suspension movement so probably no wider than 195 or 205 tires.

Smallest size

Thanks Alex!

The smallest size rs's come in is 6 x 15.... but you might have trouble finding them as they where originally sold for this.

Your best bet is to find a set of 15 x 7's with appropriate offsets for your car. You can easily stuff them under your fenders but you might run into turning radius issues with a 15" as it will probably come into contact with your front swaybar/control arms.

Go through this list and try and find some that will work for you, and then begin the hunt for a good used set. I searched for a good 4-6 months before I found the ones that I wanted.

Mine
RS157 7 x 16 49.0 130.00 5 71.6 Porsche 924 S,964 VA
RS158 8 x 16 49.0 130.00 5 71.6 Porsche 924 S,964 VA

I think i am going to have issues with the classics, firstly with centre caps.. had the same problem trying to put boxster wheels on there is an early and late offset on porsches even thou they say ET55..

I have early N/A brakes and the grease cap will not allow me to fit caps without a 6mm spacer which pushes the front wheel out to far.. so need to fit early wheels to get it to tuck in

Possibly look at something in 7.5" ET65 for the fronts is the RS's don't go on

Anyone else had that problem with greascaps on early brakes and fitting wheels?

modify the greasecap, plenty of space underneath it for the nut...

I may come to the dark side. Have a line on a set of 16x8's in 5x130. Will have to get a smaller inner barrel for the front to get it to 7. Thinking about it REAL hard.

They need to be refinished. So, were did you source the gold rim bolts? The center cap since it's polished, is Aluminum? The gold colour on your center looks damn close to the OEM BBS colour? Where did you source it? Paint code?

These will replace my chrome 17's on the super.

thanks,
Pete
