Look like BBS rims, very nice.

Calvin, you post photos on here. No need to put them externally on photobucket, just click the Go Advanced below.

those bbs wheels are the patern im looking for but i think the offset is not going to be enough. the wrx wheels that i have are a 16x6.5 55mm offset and they fit perfect but i would like to move up to a 17 but all or the one i find are 17x7 or 7.5 im tight on space my bug is lowered a good bit. I might have to raise it up some. i posted a pic of it sitting on the ground it tucks the tires good
Thanks for the pic advice i wasnt sure how to put pics on here hopefully it works I'm new to the forums

Steve, is your sons bug an early / late / standard / super beele ???

I have 16x7 35ET, which stick out just a little on my daily driver, which I'm not happy with - I'm looking to go upto 17" alloys, just not sure of the offset against a standard sudan (not 1302 - 1303) and of what and will not fit etc...

Any advice.

It's a 74 1303 same as mine with 2bolt struts.

5x100 rims are pretty easy to get in 17", alot of subis run factory 17" alloys same with alot of watercooled VWs.

Aircured, are you running a stock or narrowed beam?

ET40 works pretty well with standard bugs with 17x7 rims

Most standards need a slightly narrowed beam though with 17x7s if you want a turning circle better than a truck

Joel, Thanks for that info.

My Bug is a standard 1300-S GT Beetle.
The beam is stock - If there was a problem with 17x7, I have a guy that can cut the front wheels to 17x6...

Just wanted to add to this discussion. I don't know what offsets work on bugs but, if 7" is too wide the Dodge Neon SRT-4 has 17x6" +45mm offset with a 5x100 PCD. They can be had for pretty cheap as well. Here is a link to some more info about the SRT-4 wheels http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f136...-thread-70683/
