German look '73 KG

So, I bought my first VW a couple of months ago; I've been obsessed with them for since age 12, and am now 24. I am plaaning a full restoration, I have started amassing parts under my bed, things like a complete seal set, new front turn signals, fuel filler door, etc. I'm planning a TMI interior, in black velour with burgundy/black reagal velour inserts, which I am hoping to order sometime in september. Also, I am going to have it sandblasted and painted VW Colorado Red. Now I'm stuck though. The body and interior will be pretty nice (IMO), but those factory wheels and hubcaps, even painted, will look like ****e. I like the looks of 993TT brakes under turbo look wheels, but I think that those would be way outside of my budget. Has anyone put these on recently who is willing to share how much it cost them? Also, I want to lower the car a few inches; my dog could walk under it right now, and he isn't THAT small; eventually, when I can afford it, I am thinking about putting in a 993 engine, like the Bader KG.
