Gauge diameter

Hello guys,

Does anyone here know the diameter of the rev counter and speedometer from a Porsche 924/944? I'm referring to the early ones, such as the ones that Kuna is using in his car....

Sort of like this one

Thanks!

Mine fit in a hole of 10cm en the ring is about 10.7cm on the oudside. I have the black with yellow numbers ones. Don't know how old they are so no idea if they are early ones. Hope it helps......

Thanks, that makes sense. I think that most of the early ones were the same size, even if the dials and colours are different.By late i mean the integrated cluster ones as fitted to the later 944/968s

Hoping to squeeze all three of the gauges into the Type 3

Hey Blitz,
All Porsche gauges (early) are the same dia (100mm) and the overall dia at the ring is about 107 to 108 mm. Check gauge depth and the depth available. Try to secure them very well cos if they touch the metal frame of the dash they short-circuit, damaging the gauge and probably burn a fuse or two (personal experience...) A good mounting practice is to use the rubber band that come with the gauges.

Hope this gives you some insight

Chris

Hey Chris,

I would have never thought that the gauge could short circuit!

Thanks for your help. I now have all the answers that I need
