how do i stop my dipstick leak?

i think i have a leak around my dipstick. i came off the highway the other day and everything was covered in oil. i cleaned it today, took it out for a while, and when i got home it was a small film of oil on the fan. checked the dipstick and pushed it in about 4-6mm. mind you this was just cruizing, maybe seeing max 4000rpm, around 2300rpm most of the time.

around town the oil only gets to 130ish for temp/80psi. on the highway the oil gets to 220 degrees/80psi and stays there @4000rpm. as soon as i get off the highway it drops to 130ish again.

i have bent the dipstick tang that holds it in the tube, but it still gets pushed out. i have breathers on the valve covers, and oil fill spot beside 911 fan. they are not tied into a breather box though. motor is 2332cc.

how can i fix my leak? don't want the engine bay/decklid/header drenched in oil every time i take it out on the highway.

thanks,
pete

Pete,

Are you sure its coming from the dipstick opening and not the oil filler opening ? I know you've got the Knuf shroud, but on my old 1600cc it used to leak from the oil filler opening .. I didn't tighten the filler cap enough.

If that is not the case, that mutha is building some serious internal pressure.

Sandeep
