Help with 17" Focus SVT wheels on a Std bug

I've been trying to do some research on here and elsewhere.
I currently already own a set of Focus SVT wheels, and am thinking of changing up the look of my car.
My car is a 77 beetle,2" narrowed front beam, dropped one outer click out back

Wheels have an offset of 48 which I believe is way too much, but I think that makes it easier.

What offset do I want to get them down to?

Should I just redrill the drums and add studs, or should I have spacer/adapters made?
