Hi Vujade,

I grafted in a steel sunroof section from a 1964 bug. By no means an easy task but very satisfying to accomplish all the same. I adapted an electric sunroof motor from a Peugeot 406 (I think..don't know what year). It bolted straight in place but I had to take it apart and have the bug cog interference fitted to the Peugeot output shaft. Also I had to trim some plastic from the wheel that operates the microswitch to stop the motor so wouldn't keep blowing fuses. Not as difficult as it sounds. I'm really pleased with the results though. One day the project may be finished so I can get to use it!

Thanks for showing interest.

Andy.

I read the case was aluminum. What kind of case is it? Who makes it? Is it the new Al case?
Nice looking VW!

Thanks
Ron

Hey Andy

Nice work thus far! I sent you an email with a few questions re. your wheel/tyre combo - I will be using the same wheels (offsets included) and wanted to see if you are running spacers on the rear? Did you have to narrow the front beam to fit them under the stock gaurds?

Cheers and well done
Alan
