Newbie here,,,

Just bought my first air cooled bug.
It is a 71 super vert... sounds cool just saying that,,,,71 supervert. lol

Anyhow i figured i'd stop in for some ideas on what to do with it. It is a perfect rust free basket case that was in pieces when i got it and it came with a bunch of goodies.
The motor is a 1914 with a crap load of stuff done to it. It is suposed to have about 120 hp. ( we'll see about that ).
I also have a cherry looking " Mulholland " rear whale tail that i'm kinda torn on what to do with.
When i brought the bug home i set the tail up on it and i'm not sure if i like the look or not but i've seen bugs with the 3" rear fenders and this tail and it looks good.
I'm getting fenders for it anyways but i have never seen a whale tail on a vert before.

What do you guys think???
Maybe i'll just sell it,,,, is there any interest in something as rare as the "mulholland tail". The one i have is in real good condition. about an 8 on a 1 - 10 scale.

Thanks,
Kris

no,,, it is made by the same company but has not been produced in about 10 - 15 years

as you can see it has the engine cover molded right in with the tail.

Sorry about the pictures being so big. All the marks that you see are just dirt and minor scratches. There are no breaks in the fiberglass and no missing chunks anywhere.

Those tails aren't really my thing, but you might find some takers here. They do help with the rear end getting light, and could be quite good with the top down.
