Its interesting how the virus propogates ... pretty cool if you're a programmer like me .. but I'm totally againt malicious programming.

Zen,

I know when Alex was involved with this site, he spent alot of time making sure GL.com had the latest version of the forum software, just to prevent an attack like this.

"Most users ever online was 56, July 8th 2003 at 11:03."

I remember in 2003 we had an attack from one IP address ... thats where the number 56 users online comes from but we came through unscathed.

yep. in this case it is evidence that open source community is only as good as the admins of the install points. they can put out all of the patches they want, but if people don't apply them, it doesn't matter. we are one minor rev behind now here. looking at plans to upgrade (waiting for the water to settle as they put out two releases back to back). will want to get with you, Sandeep, on pocedures you used in previous upgrades to avoid any problems.
