Lightbulb Maxx Strut In Porsche Spindle?

Hello quys,

Quick question..

I have a 1303sb 2bolt strut.

Is it possible to bolt without any modification the Maxx strut in '86 944 porsche spindle??
I'm wondering because a friend of mine was trying to bolt '87 944 spindle but he had a problem with the 2 bolting screws.

Kind regards,
Jimmy

If your using the early spindles yes you can bolt up to the struts without a problem, but keep in mind that due to the design of the 944 spindle you will find your self needing more negative camber.. Few ways to obtain, topline bolts for the control arm, crash/camber bolts, or slotting the maxx struts..

Now to your incompatibility question.. without seeing your spindles I am guessing you have the later ones, these are somewhat narrower than the older ones if memory serves me right.. Found this out the hard way.. I believe this is your incompatibility issue. Only safe fix was to get the early (pre 85ish) spindles to mate to your maxx struts.. I know there are posts on here regarding the different designs and years..
