csi wheels? any info on them?

my neighbor gave me 3 of these wheels... although they wouldnt be my first choice, i think cleaned up, repainted, and repolished lips... they might be ok.

from what i can tell, if i am measuring everything right, they are a 17x7, with a 5/4.5" or 5/108mm bolt pattern (volvo maybe?) they are a true 2 piece wheel, gold centers, with a polished lip.

i've spent several hours last night searching the net, and can't find ANYthing on them? anyone have any places to check... any possible information?

Yup. It's made from the yellow plastic restraining tape.

Well, that's better than the chalk outline joke that first came to my mind.

I know what they are.

What my jovial cohorts could not tell you while inhibited with casual bouts of jocularity was that CSI may in all probability be a mark of the car and NOT the rim.
As in...BMW CSI

A similar rim can be procured in shiny silver for the same such Bavarian velocipede and a search for that maker's mark and those of the wheel manufacturers that provide services for them (such as Koenig) may prove to be your more successful endeavor. I bid you good luck sir.

au contraire mon fraire

this HAS come up... that particular thought DID cross my mind, and my internet searches.... HOWEVER, on the acutal casting of the rim, between the lugs, is stamped the same CSI logo, same font and everything. in talking with one local wheel shop, he vaguely remembered the brand from 10 or 12 years ago, and that they were no longer around.

plus the bolt pattern would be off for a bmw... as it is a volvo/ferrari bolt pattern 5/108mm

oh well... the search continues *sigh* thanks for keeping this somewhat alive :agree:

"Comodians"? Were we looking a bit flushed?

All seriousness aside, I take my bouts of jocularity quite earnestly.
