breather box

curious what everyone with a large engine is doing for a breather box. i am running a 2316 and the one day i had the engine running was using a cheap Bugpack small breather. no issues, but wasn't getting on it either.

i know the CSP 1.8l box is supposed to be better for my engine size and such, but am curious what everyone else is running and cost.

well i have 6 weeks to have my car ready...again. i went to order a breather from CSP and they are out of stock and *may* have more in 2 weeks. then another 1 week to ship. not good news since i am assuming it has to be installed before the engine can go in just to be able to have access to the mounting points. only other option i have seen is $190 boxes from ac.net. oh, and speaking of mark up, CSP in the US was over $10 higher on the box than the DE website. but shipping is $20 cheaper.

Zen, The CSP box is really nice. Thats what I have in the Bug and in my 914, and even the Bus.

I think I have one, you can come get it and have William ship me the new one when he gets them in stock, I don't need it any time soon.

Hi

The oil tank from a semi auto bug makes a nice breather tank, has neat brackets as well. Just cut the neck off so it fits under the mudguard, fit breather oil cap from a lead sled and weld some fittings on.
